Autumn's lost her first tooth!!

On April 14th, my first child lost her first tooth. She was sooo excited when it became loose and was pretty persistant at wiggeling it. It stayed loose for quite a while and she was becoming a bit impatient. On the drive to school that day, she decided to loop the thin rope handle of her toy cell phone, around her loose tooth, unbeknowst to me. She counted to three and on three yanked it really hard. She let out on excited, painful yelp, because her tooth was now hanging by a thread. I helped her get it out and got the bleeding stopped before she headed into school.

That night she wrote the tooth fairy a note asking if she could please keep her tooth but still leave her money. The tooth fairy did as she asked and left her the tooth to keep and some money! Autumn took the tooth to school for show and tell and told the kids if they want to keep their teeth, just write the tooth fairy a note. I wonder if she will change history in doing so.

I was just talking to a mom about the tooth fairy last night at baseball!!! Apparently us Taylors aren't the only ones who've had the tooth fairy FORGET to come to our house at all! That's cool she let Autumn keep her tooth. She's a pretty laid back tooth fairy, huh? Sometimes I feel like she doesn't take her job seriously enough though....especially after talking to some other moms last night. hmm..

Congratulations Autumn! You are a very brave girl to pull your tooth out by yourself.
Way to go.
